How to know when to sell your stock
Every stock is purchased to sell, to gain profit.
There are two reasons to sell a stock;
1. when value of stock is dropping out
2. When you want to take retirement.
Selling a rising value stock is not a wise decision by you. Normally stocks go up and down, and pass through this phase.
Up and downs depend on the economy status as well as on stock market.
Except these there are lots of other reasons of falling down of value of the stock in which you invested. Reason may be- sudden change of CEO of the company- plummet in the industry- lockout condition and lot more other reasons.
The combination or due to individual reason the value of the stock may be affected.
Selling decision should be taken very carefully after an intelligent thought process.
When you sell your stock due to dropping value of the stock of the company you invested, you have to do some research on the company or industry. If there is any chance of raising the value of the stock then wait, take advice of your broker and other financial guru. Never take a sudden step!
If other reason of selling your stock is retirement or for the fulfillment of financial goal or both, are fulfilled you may wish to sell it and safe your money by putting them in saving account.
There could be an exception of selling your stock, is sudden hike in the value of the stock. The stock you hold is of $20 today and raised $80 per share after a week. It’s a great opportunity to sell it, and if there is any prediction of dropping down the value of the stock in the future- sell it immediately!
Before making the decision of buying and selling of stocks you should consult your broker or financial adviser. It’s become necessary when you have taken new admission in the stock market and interested in buying and selling stocks to achieve financial goal.
